MY Mabelle (2022 – 2025)

Scenes from the construction

Everything started at Arcadia Yachts, a shipyard located at Castellammare di Stabia, a delightful town on the coast of the Bay of Naples. Its name is derived from the Roman resort of Stabiae, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79. Stabiae was famous for the roman villas with beautiful decorated large apartments, thermal baths, porticoes and nymphaea. Mabelle is born in a place of beauty, overlooking the sea of Sorrento and Capri.

Towards the happy moment of the launch

August 9, 2022 – Marina di Torre Annunziata After months of severe hard work in the shipyard, filled with thoughts, challenges, meeting with architects, drawings, boarding orders and standards delays, we finally witnessed the magic day, initiated and blessed by a red sunrise. With the contribution of a skillful committed team and driven by our dreams and hopes, the beautiful Mabelle touched the water for the first time. With champagne christening, Mabelle is born!

Good morning MY Mabelle!

Italian shipyard Arcadia has launched the fourth unit in the Sherpa 80XL series. Named Mabelle, the 23.8 metre yacht hit the water in a closed ceremony at the Arcadia shipyard near Sorrento in Italy. The new yacht has been commissioned for an experienced owner who has previously owned a number of sailing yachts including the 50 metre Zefira, 33 metre Ribelle and 58 metre Kokomo. As a result, the owner’s team was highly involved in the build and customisation process. Mabelle features a highly-personalised layout that makes full use of her seven metre beam and incorporates plenty of unique touches. According to Arcadia, the interior features “colours, liveability, practicality and a marine style that set it apart from previous models”. Her owners have used “muted colours” that “eliminate contrasts” between exterior and interior areas, and she also features a unique Winter Garden set-up with sliding glass doors that allow the space to be heated or cooled according to the wishes of her owner. Accommodation is split across four cabins and tender storage can be found tucked away at the side of the yacht, leaving the lazarette area open for soaking up the sun. Arcadia reports this model has over 200 square metres of interior and exterior space for her owner to make use of. Like existing Sherpa 80XL models, Mabelle is fitted with solar panels to enhance her eco-focus and power her hotel load. The two Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines provide a range of over 1200 nautical miles at a cruising speed of around 10 knots. Her top speed is around 23 knots in test conditions.
